Printable hive inspection log
One row per visit, ten visits per sheet. Tick the queen, grade the brood, note the temper — then log any action you took so the next visit starts where this one ended.

Temper key: 1 = calm · 2 = wary · 3 = defensive (note weather) — three 3s in a row: requeen or combine, and never inspect alone.
How beekeepers use this sheet
- Same day, same pen — fill the row before you leave the apiary bench; memory inventories brood after the second hive.
- Brood pattern shorthand — solid / spotted / drone-layer; two “spotted” in a row on one hive is a requeen conversation.
- Temper is a safety column — a rising temper trend tells you to change gloves, timing or queen before it tells the neighbors.
Before the next visit, run the apiary readiness checklist — and if the log says a veil is torn, the buying guide and size finder have the replacement covered.
